Clearance Built Around the 392 and EcoDiesel

Clearance Built Around the 392 and EcoDiesel

Making room for larger tires is only half the job. The liner still needs to cover the engine bay, and the components behind it determine how much room we have to work with. We shaped these liners specifically for the 392 and EcoDiesel, working around factory components while keeping wheel-well clearance and engine-bay coverage at the center of the design.

The two applications share the same passenger-side battery box, which lets us use the same liner for both. The 392 has one additional detail to address: a pump on the driver side needs to move, so we designed a bracket to relocate it. Those are the details we focus on—getting the most clearance possible for each specific application instead of making one generic liner fit everything.

Designed Around Falcon Shocks.

Designed Around Falcon Shocks.

A shock takes up space inside the wheel well, too—especially with a piggyback reservoir attached. We designed these liners around Falcon shocks with two goals: preserve as much tire clearance as possible and keep the reservoir exposed outside the engine bay. Moving a reservoir closer to engine heat works against its purpose. Falcon’s piggyback design gave us a tight space to work around, but we shaped the liner to accommodate it without enclosing the reservoir in the engine bay.

Designing around that package also made room for other shock options. Customers have successfully run Fox 2.0 and 2.5, MetalCloak, and Bilstein shocks with these liners. That flexibility extends to the flares, too: they work with Nemesis, factory, and most aftermarket flares. You don’t have to replace a set of flares you already like just to run our liner. It’s designed to work with the rest of your build.

Nemesis Signature TIG-Welded Construction

Nemesis Signature TIG-Welded Construction

Once the factory plastic is gone, the liner becomes part of how the finished wheel well looks. We form the main panels from .090-inch 5052 aluminum and TIG weld the main body sections in our facility in Kiowa, Colorado. The bends and welded joints create the finished shape, without asking you to build those sections by bolting individual panels together at every seam. That fabrication is part of the product you’re buying, not another job waiting for you during installation.

To make installation easier, we split each front liner into two sections. Each section can be positioned separately before they’re joined on the Jeep, allowing a tighter fit around the factory components and greater engine-bay coverage. The split serves a purpose: it lets us shape the liner for where it needs to sit without making you maneuver the entire assembly into place at once.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

They work with Nemesis flares, factory flares, and most aftermarket flares.

The 392 uses a separate included bracket to relocate a pump on the driver side. Follow the 392-specific step in the installation guide.

Yes. Installation includes drilling for nutserts, trimming protruding bolts, and relocating components as shown in the guide. Review the instructions before starting.

Falcon 3.3 shocks need to be removed to complete liner installation, then reinstalled. This is an installation-access step, not a modification to the shock.

No. Tire clearance depends on the rest of your build, not the liner alone. Contact us to discuss your axle, suspension, wheel, and tire setup.

This version is for Wrangler JLU 392 and EcoDiesel applications and Gladiator JT EcoDiesel models. For a 2.0L or 3.6L Jeep, choose our engine-specific Ultimate Clearance Front Inner Fender Liners instead.
